NPX is proud to highlight the successful completion of a digital transformation initiative completed in partnership with Bruce Power and Saugeen First Nation, designed to improve access to governance information, preserve institutional knowledge, and strengthen internal communication and collaboration.
NPX and the SFN administration teams were first connected by Bruce Power, through their supplier-community engagement program. What began as a request to digitize Saugeen First Nation's existing Band Council Resolutions evolved into a broader initiative focused on creating a modern, accessible, and sustainable digital workplace. Through close collaboration with Saugeen First Nation staff and leadership, NPX developed a centralized document repository and delivered a complete redesign of the Nation's intranet.
The new governance document library serves as a trusted source of truth, helping preserve important Chief & Council decisions, approved policies, and historical records. By digitizing and organizing these documents in a structured environment, Saugeen First Nation is better positioned to protect institutional knowledge, improve accessibility, support transparency and accountability, and ensure continuity for future generations.
""Our relationship with Saugeen First Nation represents the kind of partnership we value most: one built on trust, collaboration, and a shared commitment to creating long-term impact. This collaboration gave us a chance to bring our digital transformation and AI skills to help preserve knowledge, strengthen governance, and empower SFN leadership with tools that support their future growth and success." – Bharath Nangia, Chief Executive Officer, NPX
Building on this foundation, the redesigned intranet provides employees with a more intuitive and user-friendly experience. The new platform makes it easier for staff to find information, access important resources, stay informed about community initiatives, and maintain content over time. Improved navigation, streamlined content management, and enhanced search capabilities help reduce administrative burden while increasing engagement and efficiency across the organization.
"This initiative has provided Saugeen First Nation with modern tools that strengthen how our administration communicates, collaborates, and serves our community. By creating a centralized home for important governance documents and redesigning our intranet, staff can more easily access information, share knowledge, and work together more effectively across departments. Ultimately, these improvements help us operate more efficiently & strengthens our ability to support Chief and Council, deliver services to our members, and remain connected as an organization and community. We appreciate the partnership with NPX in helping us build a stronger digital foundation that will continue to benefit Saugeen First Nation for years to come.” – Melissa Snowdon, Governance & Strategic Initiatives Coordinator, Saugeen First Nation
As NPX continues to advance its PAIR commitments, we remain focused on fostering meaningful partnerships that support community priorities, strengthen organizational capabilities, and create positive, lasting outcomes.
