Created in collaboration with Bruce Power and The Nuclear Innovation Institute, GBHStrong began as an information hub for resources and statistics surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, geared towards the residents of Grey, Bruce and Huron counties. Over time, the focus shifted to using the GBHStrong platform to push out related initiatives that would support local businesses and communities.
One of these initiatives was the GBHStrong gift card store. Since many local businesses in remote areas did not have an online presence or the offer of gift cards, GBHStrong took this an opportunity to provide that option through the store so that small businesses would still have some income during the mandated closures.
Other initiatives pushed through the GBHStrong platform include the All In Ontario Challenge and Orange Shirt Day.
